First off – Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all! For the last few weeks I have started using a new skincare routine that has given me the BEST skin care results I have ever had. Bar none! And the best part of this routine – all of the products I am able to purchase for a grand total of UNDER $100/month!
Brown and Black – the traditionally believed “never wear” combo happens to be one of my favorite pairings. Especially in the cold weather months!
That said, when you are sporting these two hues, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. In this video I share a couple outfits to demonstrate my ideal brown-black ratio, and also how to make sure you nail the correct accessories to go with this pairing!
This Thanksgiving, Scott and I traveled up to the in-law’s house in Olympia, Washington for the holiday. It was a fantastic trip filled with family, food, and lots of time outdoors! I hope this little “film” gives you a peek into our trip and the gorgeous farm Scott’s family calls home! It’s my first time really utilizing multiple methods of filming so let me know how you think it turned out.
Hey guys, this week I am going to be tackling the topic of Korean Skincare! Only, I’m going to be taking a slightly different approach to the traditional Korean Skincare, by crafting a more streamlined version for “Busy Americans”.
Korean Skincare has been something I have been hearing people get very excited about for a few years now. It was always something I wanted to check out, however, I was fairly married to my skincare routine I created for myself so I never took the plunge.
That said, over the last 45 days or so, I’ve been experimenting with Korean Skincare. Now – I’m someone who already tends to take their time in the bathroom when it comes to skincare. I’ve got practically a product for any woe. So the idea of a multi-step-Korean regimen didn’t freak me out.
French, German, Polish and English. If you haven’t been to a wedding that was translated into 4 languages… You maybe have never been to a true European wedding!
The wedding day arrived bright and early. Everyone was up in our flat taking turns getting ready as we had been graciously invited to attend the marriage document signing!
It was a very special experience for us to be a part of – as truly, it was only family present. There was some minor drama at the very last minute with fear that one of the witnesses had not made it to Berlin yet… However, at the final moment, he came swooping into the building and all was well!
Today I’m going to be sharing with you guys one of my favorite cold weather masks, that just happens to be a DIY mask you can make in your kitchen – probably with things you already have on hand!
I went out and purchased all of these ingredients for this video and the entire thing ran less than $1.00 on a price per use
These 3 simple ingredients are going to make a combination that resurfaces your skin, exfoliates your skin AND moisturizes your skin all in one!
After our first day and night in Berlin, we slept like the dead. Jet lag had its way and we slept through the arrival of our friends Cortney and West. Well… at least some of us did.
Scott and I awoke to a Ring Ring – Buzzzz around 7:30 that morning. We had missed all of the previous announcement messages that our friends had sent us. One telling us they had landed. One telling us they were on their way. One asking if we were alive. One telling us they were downstairs. Jet lag is a no joke – I normally wake up at the softest ‘ding’ of my alarm chimes.
I’m not sure if it was the first, or the 5th call they had made to us – but we were up! Well… again, at least Scott was. I opened one eye, muttered something about “they’re here!” And promptly rolled back over and went to sleep.
Cortney and Wes had fueled up on espressos once they had landed. Therefore the idea of them catching some sleep while the rest of us slept in was pretty much out of the question. Scott – being the trooper that he is – stayed up and talked with them for close to an hour before I rolled out of bed and joined them. One by one, the apartment came to life and we were up and running.
My first haul vlog! A look back at my purchases for the month of October spanning fashion, skincare and home goods!
This September, my family and I took a trip across the pond to Berlin, Germany for the wedding of our former foreign exchange student (Angelique) and her husband (Thomas). While we were there, we got to experience the wonderful city of Berlin over the course of a few days. I also did a vlog on my Youtube Channel to accompany these posts. So be sure to check that out and subscribe if you have not already.
Over the course of these few days I was able to document some of the amazing sights Berlin has to offer. From the Reichstag, to the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, the Berlin Wall and so much more! While we were there for the wedding itself, it didn’t feel appropriate for me to photograph and film their ceremony. That was a private (and gorgeous) event, and I want to respect that. I did, however, sneak in a few shots that I will post of some before and after shots of the venue.
Anyways – onward to Day 1 of Berlin!
